Dani Rodrik is wonderful. Have a read of how traffic rules, or the lack of them, in Hanoi and St Petersburg explain different approaches to institutional reform.
Incidentally, if I get back to St Petersburg I’m going to make sure I never go near that intersection on Prospekt Slavy.
Or else the videos just explain how traffic lights are incredibly overrated, and also explain why the quality of a city’s traffic is pretty much inversely related to the number of traffic lights it has. Hanoi has sidewalks, though, I notice; ideally those would go too…
