There’s less than a fortnight to go until Davos – I mean New York.
I’ve been in touch with a lot of the people I look forward to seeing
each year, and our conversations are tinged with regret for what we’ll
be missing, as well as hopefulness at what we will encounter in
Manhattan.
Part of what I’ll miss is familiarity. Already, trying to fix up
places to meet people, I’m on new ground. If it were Davos, I’d happily
say, “Let’s meet in the member’s lounge after the first plenary.” I’d
guess there will be a member’s lounge at the Waldorf, but will it be a
place to meet? I don’t know.
