Understanding the Netherlands

A friend who is a long-time resident of the Netherlands sent me an explanatory essay by Tjebbe van Tijen on Fortuyn and the Dutch situation. It’s far and away the most comprehensive and comprehensible thing I’ve read. We’ll have the election result soon, but van Tijen’s essay will still be worth reading.
