I’ve kept a not-entirely watchful eye on the Iranian presidential election. All of the British and American coverage I’ve read and watched reckoned Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani was going to be the clear winner. Now comes news that Tehran mayor Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will win the run-off election.
