I am still amazed that Bush was voted in for a second term given everything that we knew and had experienced. John Major was an absolute lame duck and took to standing on boxes with a mic or megaphone preaching in his drone - and he won!! Seems to me that Obama is simply being too nice - where is the swagger the US electorate need? Why hasn't he had a 'how dare you Sir' moment when McCain patronises and sneers in their encounters?
