I loved a phrase in Tyler Cowen’s description of John Darwin’s new book:
The excerpt is from Darwin’s new book After Tamerlane: The Global History of Empire Since 1405, which should be read by anyone… who… reads books with titles like that.
That’s me. I usually describe myself as someone who reads books with footnotes, but Cowen’s version is better.
